In Kindergarten, students will be introduced to art terms and experiment with a wide variety of materials. Students will review primary and secondary colors, basic geometric shapes and learn art terms, such as symmetrical, horizontal, diagonal, vertical, pattern, texture, two dimensional and three dimensional arts. Emphasis will be placed on development of fine motor skills and care and use of art materials

MASKS: Cat mask (discuss and create a 3-D mask, go over different cultures that create and wear masks)

Tempera and water color painting will be explored in greater detail, armature sculpture will be introduced will Paris Craft, and various drawing and art techniques will be covered during this year. Projects will progress over several art classes.
